Plot
The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes his living by carrying out assassinations for the highest pay. He soon meets his worthy rival in a tenacious British intelligence officer who tracks him down in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe.
The Jackal is seen driving a white Alfa Romeo Spider
In The Day of the Jackal (1973), The Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, albeit an older generation model. Referenced in Graham Norton I Gosti: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024).
The cast gives some truly fantastic performances
The narrative is solid, with twists and turns that keep you engaged, and the cinematography captures the eerie atmosphere perfectly. That said, I must point out that Ms.
Lynch’s acting seemed rather disappointing
Her performance felt very one-dimensional, which sadly stood out in a cast full of strong, nuanced performances. It’s not a race thing; I can think of several brilliant black actresses who could have brought more depth and complexity to the role.
It’s certainly not perfect, but it’s worth watching
It’s just that her performance didn’t quite live up to the overall quality of the show, which was disappointing. However, the show is worth watching for its story and the exceptional performances of the other cast members.
