Colin Farrell fought tooth and nail to get his version of The Penguin to smoke tobacco in The Batman (2022), but he failed.

MASTERFUL! ICONIC!! I would have never thought that in this role, but Colin Farrell just gave the best performance of his career, in an incredible interpretation of the Penguin.

This will go down in history in the same way that Heath Ledger’s Joker transformed the character. If he doesn’t get the recognition of Best Actor at the Golden Globes, SAG Awards and everywhere else, he won’t appreciate how the producers, writers and incredible team of makeup artists helped Colin Turin deliver this incredible performance, which would become a hallmark of his career and a benchmark for the Penguin for the next 3 generations.
