Porky Pig and Daffy Duck are Earth’s only hope in the face of the threat of an alien invasion. The first Looney Tunes film released in theaters not distributed by Warner Bros. The film was originally scheduled to be released exclusively as a streaming service on the Max streaming service. After the company decided not to release it, the film was sent to other distributors. Eventually, GFM Animation acquired the worldwide distribution rights and moved the film’s theatrical release. Inside the meteor, Daffy demonstrates his talent with levers: he pulls the lever to lower the machine and pushes it to raise it again. Porky does this as well later in the scene. But when Porky and Petunia are tied up, Daffy pushes the lever forward and the machine releases them anyway. At the end of the credits, Porky says his classic line, “That’s all, folks!”, only to be interrupted by. Daffy Duck who tells him that this isn’t the end of the movie and that they need a sequel.. I really enjoyed the movie. The story is a little crazy, but what else would you expect from Looney Tunes, but Daffy Duck and Dick Pig work as a movie. However, I have to say that the action was way too over the top. Sure, we’re talking about Looney Tunes here, especially Daffy Duck, but still. So the joke fell a little short for me. There were some funny moments, no doubt, but that appropriate wit and humor that defines Looney Tunes was either absent or rare. But otherwise, I can recommend the movie as a hand-drawn animated film in today’s world. This review comes from Germany, where the film has already been released.
