Miami, 1991. With his bloodthirsty urges no longer able to be ignored, young Dexter Morgan must learn to control his inner darkness as he transforms from a college student into a vengeful serial killer under the guidance of his father, Harry. Christian Slater was older than James Remar when Dexter (2006) first aired. It was followed by Dexter: Resurrection (2025). It’s really great. It’s been 3 episodes and I’m loving the ride so far. It gives Dexter an early season feel and the cast is very good. It’s been a while and I’m surprised how many people I recognize. The awkward young Dexter is great and it’s fun to watch him transform into the Dexter from season 1. It actually picks up after the last season of Dexter, so if you haven’t seen it yet, be prepared for immediate spoilers when you start. They claim that this is actually leading to something called Dexter Resurrection that will be released this summer. Some people think Dexter should die, but I love this new direction and can’t wait to see more.
