American remake (English) of the French version HPI series (2021)
Plot
It follows Morgan, a single mother of three, and how, thanks to her exceptional mind, she can help solve a crime while rearranging the evidence during her shift as a nanny at the police department. Despite her very high IQ, excellent memory and extensive knowledge of the arcana, Morgan makes a series of basic legal mistakes that anyone who has ever watched a show TV by law would know not to do them. In episode one, for example, she obtains a document from a locked safe in the suspect-victim’s law office that would never be admissible in court—illegally obtained evidence.

It also could not be used to obtain other evidence – violating the legal doctrine of “fruit of the poisonous tree.” In episode 2, she has to be reminded to wear gloves before handling evidence at the crime scene, and in #3, she removes all the documented evidence from the police station, completely breaking the chain of custody and making everything she removed not let it be. admissible in a court of law.. First, it’s not a “Bones” clone; or other cop shows that deal with people with marketable skills when it comes to police work.
The cops won’t use someone who sneaked around
Like most shows that start out, it’s a little shaky. The girl is good, obviously, although the acting maniac can’t continue like in the first ep. Unlike the portrayals of lab techs and the like in other shows, which show them as “medicated free”.
the ordinary world
Second, the actor who plays detective Karadec (Daniel Sunjata) is terrific, he was very good in Manifest. As shows like this smooth out and characters are fleshed out, they tend to get better, the flow starts to work. As for the talented Morgan, it’s hard to believe that someone with her skills hasn’t been snapped up by a tech company or a financial firm, but I suppose there are people out there who, despite their talent, just couldn’t make it.
