I haven’t seen the French original before this so forgive me if I don’t give a comparison but it would be a shame if any negative comparisons were to deter the enjoyment of this. Maybe the concerns about the pacing come from binge watching culture, it is probably slow going if you want to watch multiple episodes in one sitting but I honestly can’t see any problem with that.
